Pianist, Vocalist, Entertainer
Timeless Standards for Your Every Mood
I'm Charlie Winkler, AKA Bobby Charles, an 87-year old piano man playing songs from Rod Stewart's Great American Songbook Selections Vol. 1,2,3,4,5, plus other great rock standards that I personally love, to the Sarasota/Bradenton Area. I play cocktail parties and fundraisers for elegant events, and retirement and nursing homes to lift seniors-inspired by my late wife Stephanie's hospital days. With over 60 years of gigs, from '50s Dixieland Bands to '70s Show Groups and Rock Bands performing from Vegas to Miami Beach, my goal is to make your next event shine.

Notre Dame Testimonials
Priest of Holy Cross at Notre Dame, Indiana
Charlie Winkler AKA Bobby Charles is a wonderful addition to my Life Enrichment programming. His easy going style, amazing talent and professionalism make all my residents (even those with dementia) feel comfortable and at ease. Polkas, patriotic music and even those favorite 1940 love songs fill the air when Charlie comes to play. You will find yourself singing along with Charlie... no matter how out of tune you may be. Go Irish!

To whom it may concern: Bobby Charles Winkler, Charlie started out as a performer for Sisters of the Holy Cross, but quickly became our friend. His piano playing and knowledge of the "Old Time" songs from days gone by quickly made him a favorite. In addition to his sense of what his audience would like, he created songbooks that had pictures and a short history about the song. That was an instant hit with his program! We found him to be dependable, prompt and very giving and generous of his time and talent. He has a wonderful way of adding personal touches with short stories about him and his family that gives him a more personal touch whit his audience. We would recommend him for any type of program and we feel that he relates so well with seniors. He and his wonderful monthly program are going to be greatly missed. Our loss will be others gain.

Bobby Charles Winkler (Charlie) is a versatile and talented entertainer who brings joy and wonderful memories of the Big Bands to our independent residents at Holy Cross Village. No one can touch our residents like Charlie. This is due to his energetic jazz style, excellent musicianship and superb knowledge of the tunes from the Swing Era.

For Coach Lou Holtz
We hired Bobby Charles Winkler several years back for a "Notre Dame Football Player Reunion" and we put it together for former Head Coach at Notre Dame, Lou Holtz. Charlie's band played all evening long and they were a great addition to the Reunion. Many of the former football players were in attendance and many of the University of Notre Dame's administration were there, including Father Hesburgh.
I was so proud to be the one who contracted the band, because Coach Holtz and all the former football players and other quest thoroughly enjoyed the music. It was held in the South Dining Hall on campus. Bobby Charles Winkler is a class act and so are the musicians who play in his band. If you're looking for good jazz, their music is second to none.

As an Activity Director in various health care facilities, I have known Bobby Charles Winkler (Charlie) for many years and have enjoyed his many songs and melodies on the piano. Charlie has brought countless smiles and surprise responses from the elderly and disabled that he has entertained. Charlie has a wide repertoire of songs; sharing the history of songs, encouraging all to sing along, having a great interaction with his audience. A very talented showman, He has never let us down. Charlie is truly committed to his music and bringing joy to those around.
Sincerely,
